Metallica today have revealed details of their highly anticipated new live album S&M2 which is out August 28th 2020.
S&M2, the live concert film from Metallica & The San Francisco Symphony, is the concert event of the year! S&M2 features 20 songs (over 2.5 hours of music) from the two-night event that opened San Francisco’s new Chase Center to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original S&M album, with many Metallica fan favourites and two unique classical songs chosen by San Francisco Symphony Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas. S&M2 is newly re-edited by the band with remixed and remastered audio for a whole new look and sound from the original theatrical run in October 2019.
Lars and James from Metallica did the same thing years ago and still keep going.
Anyways..
Frontman Erik Danielsson (Watain) has sent MetalSucks the following statement regarding the photo:
“The gesture on that picture was done in jest that’s as much as we have to say about that, but to put an end to this tiresome and time-consuming nonsense the guitarist in question has decided to step aside for a period of time to avoid further hopeless discussions on the subject.
We furthermore spit upon the ill-willed ignorance of all those who maintain that Watain have any political agenda whatsoever, for 20 years we have proven otherwise and people should know better by now. Finally we would like to send a heartfelt fuck off to all who insist on feeding the mindless moral witch-hunt hysteria that is now festering on worldwide Heavy Metal culture. Hail Satan! ”
