U.S. techincal death metallers DECREPIT BIRTH have revealed a second new single from their upcoming album, “Axis Mundi”. The song is titled “Hieroglyphic” and its lyric video can be watched here:

Formed in 2001, DECREPIT BIRTH released three studio album’s to date, which got them a premiere spot on the death metal radar. Their music, infused with technical and progressive twists, managed to forge a very solid international fan base, and continues to forge their path into the future, as one of the genre’s finest bands. Awakening from a seven-year slumber, the Californians fourth offering is entwined with musical athleticism and characteristic esoteric themes. “Axis Mundi” is as crushing as it is cosmic.
“We’ve gone through an evolution throughout the years” says founding member and primary songwriter Matt Sotelo. “The last couple of albums we had, Diminishing Between Worlds and Polarity, were more progressive death metal. They were different from …And Time Begins, which is a different genre of death metal. It’s more brutal. I’m the type of guy who likes to experiment. …And Time Begins has no solos. It’s all really fast palm-muted riffs. The other albums breathed more with the guitars. I let chords ring out on Diminishing Between Worlds and Polarity. Axis Mundi is combination of all the stuff I’m into. I like it a lot right now. It’s more melodic. The riffs repeat intentionally. I want to have fun with these songs”.
Devin Townsend Project have been on the road touring for the majority of 2017 in support of latest album ‘Transcendence’, and recently began a run of Summer live dates including Download Festival this past weekend.
Yesterday Devin attended the Metal Hammer Golden Gods ceremony in London, where he was named ‘Riff Lord’, an award previously given to the likes of Dave Mustaine, Brian May and Phil Campbell. To celebrate, a brand new lyric video for the track ‘Offer Your Light’, taken from ‘Transcendence’, is available to see here:
Devin had this to say: “Hey all! Well heck, I guess I won an award for being a guitar guy…sweet! All those years of social ineptitude has manifested in an ability to play 32nd notes. Take that, dad! …to celebrate, we are doing a ‘lyric video’ for a track I had been encouraged to release when the album first came out, but decided to go with another one instead. As it turns out, people seem to really like this song, so have at ‘er! Here’s a kind of rockin, kind of straightforward track from Transcendence called ‘Offer Your Light’, written essentially about trying to look at the positive amidst the ever increasing sea of neurosis-inducing bullshit the world keeps spewing at us. I’m in the beginning stages of writing new music now, and I hope this finds a home in your listening world for the next 4 minutes or so…best part is; there’s no guitar solo! The Romanian doom/death metal masters from SINCARNATE have just released a
lyric video for the song Curriculum Mortis:
The song Curriculum Mortis comes from the album In Nomine Homini that will
be released on 1st of April by Hatework. Recorded during June – September
2016 at the Consonance Studio in Timisoara, to Edmond Karban and Cristian
Popescu (both members of Dordeduh and former members of Negura Bunget) who
along with Andrei Jumuga have produced, mixed and mastered the album.
SINCARNATE – In Nomine Homini will be available as a 6-fold digipak, with
a 16 pages booklet but also as an extended version with a different
graphic presentation and two bonus-tracks. The extended version will be
also available in a very limited box-set edition hand-crafted by
traditional carpenters and cast iron craftsmen, containing specific
artefacts to the concept proposed by the band in this new material.

The new SINCARNATE album will be distributed starting with the 1st of April:
American hard rock band Into the Fire, featuring vocalist Bryan Scott (The Union Underground), bassist Tim King (SOiL), guitarist Adam Zadel (SOiL), and Will Hunt (Evanescence), have just released a lyric video for their new single ‘From The Medicine’.
‘From The Medicine’ comes from the self titled Into The Fire debut EP and is a follow up to the single and music video ‘Spit You Out’.
The group is planning to record new material and make touring plans for later in 2017.
Into The Fire’s debut EP was released 22nd September 2016 via Pavement Entertainment and was engineered, produced, and mixed by Bryan W. Scott and mastered by James Murphy. The result can be best described as a raw and stripped down rock sound with modern elements. The digital EP bundle, containing 3 tracks and a bonus video, is available at digital and streaming outlets everywhere.
Monstrous black/doom/punk chimera MANTAR have announced to release a 10″ vinyl EP entitled »The Spell«.
»The Spell« will contain 3 previously unreleased songs and is set to be released on March 31 via Nuclear Blast. The title track features Okoi Jones from Swiss extreme metal duo BÖLZER on guest vocals. Responsible for the haunting cover art is renowned artist Aaron Wiesenfeld ( http://www.aronwiesenfeld.com ) who was also responsible for MANTAR‘s debut record’s artwork.

British extreme metallers Krysthla have just dropped a punishingly epic lyric video for new song ‘Make Disciples Of The Nations‘
The track is the second song to be taken from the Northamptonshire’s forthcoming brutal sophomore album.
