Following two warming-up show earlier this year, HIEROPHANT will be kicking off their full string of Italian dates at the Paniere Il Circolo in Crema tonight in support of their latest release ‘Mass Grave’. The Italians will continue on to ravage their home country with one strike across the border towards Fribourg, Switzerland at the Nouveau Monde on the 12th of February.

HIEROPHANT commented: “We are very stoked to hit the road again. We are starting with a run of Italian shows and another in the UK will follow right after that. We can be nothing but grateful for all the support we got lately. Mark your date in the calendar and see you in the grave!”

Benighted Kick Off their

BENIGHTED will kick off their massive French tour at L’Ampérage in Grenoble tonight in support of their forthcoming album ‘Necrobreed’. The brutal death extremists will continue to wreck havoc in their native homeland throughout February and March with a final show at the MJC in Limours on April 1st.

Insanity Cult – of Despair and Self-Destruction

Insanity Cult were created back in 2011 by Έκπτωτος (Lead Guitar) and Sacrilegious (Vocals) as a means of deeper inner expression and exploration. In 2012, Beleth (Drums) and Buer (Bass) joined the line up, while Vohamon (Rhythm Guitar) joined a year later in 2013.

Throughout the years the band experimented intensely with their sound and ripened both musically and ideologically, thus new elements were added while some others were removed. The general sound however, was always based around melodies and feelings of melancholy, nihilism, hatred and despair. The first EP “Insanity Be My Kvlt“, which was a raw rehearsal recording, was released in January of 2014, followed by the release of the debut full-length album “As My End Unfolds…” in April of 2015. Now, the band’s second opus is to be released in 11th february of 2017.

To characterize this album can be one word – it’s color of grey, which pretty matches the cover. Grey, addictive melancholy begins with a prologue – “The Light That Drowned Itself” and it felt throughout the album. Tremolos, blast beats and high, hysterical scream are the main elements characterizing this album. However, in some places main carcass is diluted by interesting combinations, as for instance, in the “IX”, clean guitar and scream made a good combination, which add more atmosphere “Interlude-The Bitter Wind of Remembrance” divides album on two parts by its monotonous melody which, however, fits well and doesn’t sound out of place. On the contrary, it aggravates melancholic and fatigue mood of the album. The second part, which consists from three songs is more measured and slow. Band has been progressed in songwriting and composition, releasing an album with good mixing of atmosphere of despair and frozen carcass of black metal riffs.

“The Roman is a song celebrating the roman soldier for his discipline, his loyalty and his will to victory, the most fierce war machine ever assembled not by individual conquest but by teamwork, they changed the world in warfare… this video was filmed in a remote area in Belgrade, Serbia with a great team who put a lot of hard work and heart into it, we tried to be as historical accurate as we could with what we had at our disposal, it’s not to meant to be a reproduction of Hannibal’s last confrontation with Scipio but we flirted with the idea. YAYLA Releases “Pas.to.rale” via Merdümgiriz Records

YAYLA is back with its fifth full-length “Pas.to.rale”, the first release from this ambient black metal act in four years.

Released by Merdümgiriz Records on February 5th, 2017, the project from multi-instrumentalist Emir Toğrul presents a heavy fusion of ambient and metal, and after the departure from the monotonous sound of the now cult trilogy, “Pas.to.rale” sees YAYLA sounding more dynamic, oppressive and hypnotic than ever before, and while there are countless influences from different styles and techniques, this album is surprisingly tight and unified.

YAYLA’s Emir Toğrul comments: «”Pas.to.rale” takes many forms with lengthy instrumental tracks, from synth driven string ensemble ambiences to psychedelic guitar tracks, to “traditional” black and death metal songs with very unconventional structures fused with synths. The YAYLA concept is at its pinnacle in “Pas.to.rale”, with the name of the band and our whole concept of nature based metal music coming to an alchemical home as we delve back into our roots after all these years of adventures as VIRANESIR and BLIGHTED in an ironic existential absurdity. It’s a tale of dungeon style atmosphere, relentless black metal, nostalgic overdose and musical hypnosis.»

As with all his work on Merdümgiriz Records, each copy of “Pas.to.rale” CD, Tape, t-shirt and patch will be handmade in the artisanal style. Emir paints the discs, cuts and inserts the prints for the jewel case and jacket, making all non-machined parts from scratch. Damnation Plan Releases DIO Cover as a Second Single From “Reality Illusion”

Finnish Espoo-based progressive melodic death metal band Damnation Plan releases a second single from their upcoming new album “Reality Illusion”.

The single is a tribute to the past heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio in form of a classic DIO track “Don’t Talk To Strangers”.

“For our first album as bonus tracks we had created our versions of the movie themes ‘The Terminator’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZLWEuYO1as) and ‘The Running Man’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xniQmO7V3yU), to pay tribute to our childhood inspirations and heroics (and oh yes, we still get kicks out of them!).

So for this new album we wanted to do some cover track as well. We were throwing around some ideas to do some pop songs etc. until the idea to do Dio’s ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’ came up. So, instead of a hologram we came up with our version of one of the late legend’s finest tracks to honor his legacy. So here it is – ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’, in style of Damnation Plan!”
