The mighty ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL 2022 can today reveal a host of brilliant new additions to its line-up for next years event.
Heading up this announcement are the incredible Zeal & Ardor, who have their new album due for release on Feb 22nd, 2022. An astonishing and important band, this Swiss/American avant-garde heavy rock band revel in pushing boundaries, creating some of the most exciting and forward thinking music in the scene right now.
A statement from the ARCTANGENT FESTIVAL organisers:
“We’re gutted to have tell you that we are finally calling time on ATG 2021. We tried for as long as possible to stay optimistic but unfortunately, like so many other festivals & events who have already cancelled this year, we have had to take the incredibly tough decision to postpone ArcTanGent until August 17th-20th 2022. We’re beyond devastated that we won’t be able to hang out with you for another year.
One of the worlds best and most loved underground music festivals ARCTANGENT has this week unveiled almost its entire 2021 band line ups for the event that will take place next year between August the 18th and 21st.
Teaming up with the likes of Audiotree, Kerrang, Riot Act Podcast and Louder (Metal Hammer/Prog Magazine) to announce the bands over the last 4 days, the main stage headliners Opeth and Cult Of Luna (with one final main stage headliner still to be announced) were joined by an array of the finest heavy, out there, interesting, intricate, genius, epic and down right incredible bands currently making music.
After last weeks postponement announcement for ArcTanGent Festival for this Summer, the team are proud to announce that Opeth have confirmed as our first headliners for 2021.
“We’re very excited to announce that Opeth will be at ArcTanGent 2021 as our Main Stage Saturday night headliner.” says festival booker, James Scarlett, “They are the biggest band we had booked for 2020 so it felt like a good way to let people know our intentions for next year are equally big, if not bigger! A little bit of inside info is that ATG 2021 will feature loads of the 2020 bands with some amazing extras on top. Watch this space!” Continue reading ArcTanGent Festival announces Opeth as its first 2021 headliner & launches its own Crowd Funder→
Taking place at Fernhil Farm near Bristol, the award winning, best small UK music festival (2018) ArcTanGent Festival returns in 2020, and can now announce its first main stage headliner, as well as a further 27 more acts for the event.
As a UK exclusive show, the incredible Opeth is the first headliner for ArcTanGent, which will held on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of August 2020.
Festival organiser James Scarlett explains a bit about this first announcement and the importance of the first headliner for him and ArcTanGent – “Opeth’s Ghost Reveries is one of two albums (the other being the Mars Volta’s Frances the Mute) that I always credit with setting me on the leftfield musical path that has led to the line ups I book every year at ATG. In 2005 I’d never heard anything like it and from there onwards my musical tastes just took off and led me to all my favourite bands. Essentially what I’m saying is that Opeth was part of the original ArcTanGent DNA and so I couldn’t be happier to announce that they’re joining us at Fernhill Farm for a Friday Main Stage headline set! I also just realised it will be almost exactly 15 years since Ghost Reveries was released – amazing!”
