It has now been 10 years of UNLEASH THE ARCHERS! These heavy metal heroes are celebrating this honor with an exhilarating feast on their upcoming album entitled Apex– out on June 2nd 2017 via Napalm Records!
Channeling the fiery brilliance of shooting stars, there is immense beauty on Apex, and it clutches you with a fervor that lingers well beyond the last cymbal decay.
The band states: “We are extremely excited to release another full on concept album; it’s just so much fun to play out a story when you’re up on stage. This one has a protagonist that we call ‘The Immortal’ being forced to serve the antagonist, a.k.a. ‘The Matriarch’ as she embarks down a very dark path to achieve immortality. We had a great time writing this record, and I think the cohesiveness of the story has really shone through in the music as well. It has a certain vibe throughout, from beginning to end, and we can’t wait to hear what our fans have to say about the direction this album has taken. We don’t like to write the same record over and over again and we are very happy with the progression of our sound on Apex. We think it will appeal to all of our fans old and new; it has the best parts of our past albums combined into one with just a little more spit and polish ;)“
Ken Sarafin created the picturesque album artwork for Apex. This album takes nerves of steel; from its opener “Awakening” to the title track that closes the album, the listener will partake in a furious adventure, weaving through elements of the strongest metal genres of our time. You’ll be guided by the shimmering heat of sweeping lead guitars, face-melting solos, deafening growls, pummeling bass lines and of course the thrilling hooks of Brittney Slayes’ queen-size voice.

Brooklyn hard rock legends LIFE OF AGONY have completed work on their new album and Napalm Records debut A Place Where There’s No More Pain, which will be released April 28th via Napalm Records. Today the first video offering for the album’s title track “A Place Where There’s No More Pain” has been unleashed. The video was directed by Leigh Brooks of Firebelly Films and was shot predominately in Hamburg, Germany with a few shots from the London show on LOA’s recent European tour. Video was premiered by Popmatters.com and you can watch it here. HERE.
“We were looking to capture the raw energy of our live show with the new video for ‘A Place Where There’s No More Pain’, says bassist Alan Robert. “As a longtime LOA fan, Director Leigh Brooks instantly knew exactly what we were going for. He’s been a fan since the early nineties and we finally met at the Electric Ballroom gig in London last year. He shot that show and we immediately became friends. He’s a super talented guy with great vision and a deep passion for this band. He and his crew got pretty banged up shooting this one (laughs). They got right in the pit with their equipment – the poor guys! Leigh was one of the very first people outside of the band to hear the new music and he was completely psyched to be involved.”
Snovonne is known for her melancholic and psychoanalytic creations, which often reveal things one would rather not see. The new album The Child And The Bitch is exactly that and so much more.
“The concept carries a strong psychoanalytic undertone.” Snovonne says. “It’s about perception, points of view. It’s the battle between two voices – how you were born vs. what the world turns you into. There’s no right or wrong, both the entities have values to stand on, but that doesn’t stop them from clashing… I wanted to give room to both voices.”
The album will be introduced with the super-melancholic “Best Days”. Coming out March 17th, the video presents the album’s concept of duality, musically and visually.
The third official full-length album The Child And The Bitch (subtitled “Chronicles 1984 – 2014”) has been in production since 2015 and is now scheduled for release on April 17th.
“Best Days” Trailer!
With all artistic gears spinning to a maximum, it’s a big leap forward – not only its heavily emotional and expressive content, but also in its audio and visual presentation. Heavy-hitting, stomping riffs are supported by epic, aggressive orchestral arrangements and cut through with razor-sharp melancholy.
Sno´s grandfather was, in his time, a reputable psychiatrist with a passion for fine arts and swing music. That had a significant influence on her artistic life.
She continues: “I’ve always been fascinated by old medical journals and books… Grew up around it, family of doctors… So given the self-analytical tone of the record, it was only natural to make the artwork an old medical journal. The lyrics are my entries with dates when they were written, some of them I wrote when I was very young. As a parallel, I put in old articles from the 20’s, which I scanned from the original personal scrapbook of Dr. Frederick Finch Strong. He was a renowned persona of the last century – promoter of electrotherapy, cutting-edge in developing methods of treatment, and highly esoteric and eccentric. He was the first American to employ Tesla Coils therapeutically.”

NECROWRETCH are now streaming the third song taken from their forthcoming album ‘Satanic Slavery’, which has been scheduled for release on April 14th.
The track “Curse of Blasphemy” is currently streaming at the link below which can be freely spread.
Guitarist and singer Vlad comments: “Spewed out from our forthcoming album ‘Satanic Slavery’, ‘Curse of Blasphemy’ is an evil incantation composed to the Evil God of the Dark Spells, from its most devoted zealots. Surrender now and renounce your life to the Serpent of Old. Torment, pain and suffering!”
NECROWRETCH have previously revealed artwork and track-list of ‘Satanic Slavery’, which can both be viewed below.
Track-list
1. Sprawl of Sin
2. Tredeciman Blackfire
3. Satanic Slavery
4. Evil Names
5. Hellspawn Pyre
6. Bestial Rites
7. Curse of Blasphemy
8. Verses from the Depths
Third strike is deadly. NECROWRETCH hammer out album number three in an all-out attack on everything that is glossy and polished in modern metal. ‘Satanic Slavery’ is dirty, gritty, mean, and beautifully untamed. This record spells DEATH METAL in capital letters without embracing mindless nostalgia.
NECROWRETCH are letting their roots clearly shine through. Early death metal with clearly audible thrash elements play a large role on ‘Satanic Slavery’. Echoes of POSSESSED or DARK ANGEL are equally present as fiercely rasping black metal vocals, and the melodic attitude of Swedish influences with a dash of DISSECTION.
When harsh vocalist and guitarist Vlad created NECROWRETCH almost ten years ago, he drew inspiration from various extreme sources such as IMPALED NAZARENE, NIHILIST, and MARDUK as well as Floridian and South American death metal acts.
