Speaking about the new video, frontman and band visionary, Satyr tells us, “I wanted ‘To your brethren in the dark’ to be a director’s interpretation of the song, rather than a band performance type of thing. Seeing what we do through the eyes of another artist is always interesting to me and just like the song, the video has become a little bit of a journey on it’s own. ‘To your brethren in the dark’ is definitely one of the flagship songs on the record. It is about emotion, our nature, the spirits, the autumn, the sombre and rainy days, those who we lost and the ones who we have not met yet. You could say it is a tribute to the sorrow in man and to the drama of the nature we surround ourselves with. A song for the dark towers of the past and those who will rise in the future. AMBERIAN DAWN mastermind Tuomas Seppälä gives a deeper insight to “I’m The One”: “I’M THE ONE was one of the latest compositions for new album. After writing a couple of softer songs in fall 2016 I got a new “heavy wave” and probably 3 latest songs I wrote were quite heavy. The song is very hectic and pushes forward like a train. There’s no solo part on this song (a solo would have been quite obvious call) Instead of that I wrote an instrumental part and an extra vocal part. Last vocal part’s melody and chord pattern supporting it consists of just one really long phrase… this kind of long phrasing was typical in many classical compositions. I still haven’t got rid of my roots in classical music :)”
While Capri explains the story: “I’M THE ONE This is a story about very charismatic and socially intelligent people who speak with the finest words to make other people do what they want in their quest for their own pleasure. They do not care about the consequences or how to violate the feelings of others. They only think of themselves. Unfortunately the pressure in the group is generally enormous and all its members are behind the strongest individual hoping to be “the chosen one”.”

The conceptual album dramaturgy feels like a detonation of the mind. ‘1755’ , the 13rd studio record by MOONSPELL, is more than just the band’s new magnum opus: It’s the musical version of the year of horror where a giant earthquake wrecked their hometown Lisbon. ‘1755’ is a dark adventure in medieval landscapes – emotionally, technically and completely earthshaking!
Now the band premieres a new lyric video for the song ‘Evento‘ ( english: ‘Event’ ), vocalist Fernando Ribeiro informs us: “Bury the dead. Take care of the living”. Is one of the most famous quote of Marquis of Pombal (Sebastião José Carvalho e Melo), the minister of the King who together with the crowds of Lisbon and his engineers rebuilt a new Lisbon from the ashes and ruins of the old in just one year time. Event talks about fate, a dialogue built between the narration of the day and the state of mind of Lisbon’s inhabitants and the all powerful choir telling me to be still and accept God’s will. This conflict and the desacralisation of Lisbon is one of the most interesting aspects of this accursed day. A fight that allowed Portugal to step out finally from the Middle Ages and make the country’s entry into Enlightenment.”
