This past weekend, Swedish metal legends IN FLAMES tore up the stage at KNOTFEST Germany with their world-renowned live show. Today, the band release a brand-new track titled ‘The Great Deceiver‘– a crushing piece of high-class modern metal that reinforces IN FLAMES‘ unique mark deep in the foundations of the genre.
The band states: “The Great Deceiver was born out of frustration, basically a reaction to false flags but since then it has grown to represent several meanings. There’s a line that says “Bend the truth to fit your opinion” and I feel that speaks a lot to the narrative happening online, between people, and nations etc. today. We are more a part now than ever before yet it’s easier to communicate than in any other time in history.”
Polish band Upon the Altar presents a music video recorded live in the PiekłoNiebo studio. It consists songs from the upcoming split with the DeathEpoch group. Ataman Tolovy was responsible for the audio-video production.
It’s time for another deep dive into the horrors of mortality and the foul side of the supernatural – It’s time for “Survival Of The Sickest”! The sixth full-length album from BLOODBATH, Sweden’s undisputed masters of old school death metal, will be unleashed on September 9, 2022 via Napalm Records. This is death metal at its ugly best: vicious, unrelenting and irrevocably sworn to the black.
Today ARCH ENEMY announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, the release date for their huge upcoming new album ‘Deceivers‘ have been moved to August 12th 2022. The band comments below:
“Dear Arch Enemy fans,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release of the new album ‘Deceivers‘ has to be postponed two weeks. The new release date will be August 12th. Just ahead of their set at the legendary Sweden Rock festival, The Halo Effect have revealed yet another melodic death metal gem. Leading up to the release of their highly anticipated debut album “Days Of The Lost”, to be released on August 12th via Nuclear Blast.
Frontman Mikael Stanne tells about the track: “The Needless End deals with the crippling inability to deal with abstract problems. Issues that just seem too huge or incomprehensible falls by the wayside in order to deal with more immediate but less important issues. We end up somewhere not because we want to but because we were unable to understand what we needed to do. There is an intensity to this song and a uplifting melody that I think suits this idea. Among all the anger and resentment it’s also hopeful and has an infectious groove and drive.”
Diabolical death metal squadron Belphegor have released an atmospheric video for their brand new single, ‘Virtus Asinaria – Prayer‘, which is the second single from their upcoming twelfth full-length ‘The Devils‘, due out on June 24th. ‘Virtus Asinaria – Prayer‘ is a change of pace with its more sustained yet inherently sinister approach, slowly luring you in with entrancing melodies and ceremonial chants, indicating impending doom. The video for the song was partially shot at the scenic and infamous Neudegg Alm in Abtenau, Austria, and it can be watched below.
