DA BOANAD Reveals Details for “Mystericum”

unnamed (1).jpg

The release date of the new album “Mystericum” by the Bavarian Band DA BOANAD on CD is June 2nd, 2017.

Everybody knows what Bavaria looks like. But how does it sound like these days? Only Da Boanad: Just heavy guitars and lots of them, strong grooves and a characteristic voice that reflects in rock and bavarian culture. Da Boanad is bavarian like the mighty alps. Da Boanad is harsh, powerful and no time ever conform. The new bavarian hardness at it’s best!

„Mystericum“ is an album loaded with pure and energetic heavy rock nurishing from all of what the guys in the band like themselves. For just that reason there is non of the oh so typical neo bavarian raggae summer chill to be heared, just the rough styled rock´n´roll that unites this band. Riffs like „des hosd davo“ or „Finster werds“ proove it.

The lyrics are authentic, but bavarian hardcore. Other bands that have jumped on the bavarian waggon like it easy going. Da Boanad just rocks full on. The bavarian message is rough and dramatically anarchistic.

No compromises to be made. The tunes are strong, straight, dark and epically melancholic. Such as „Scheinheilig“ the power Ballad on this album. Da Boanad likes to tell stories that bavarians equal with their picture of freedom, such as in „Misericordia“, the tragic tale of Matthias Kneissl, a criminal and though a hero.

Da Boanad is authentic like a storm over the alps, does like to point a finger at a topic, but all of that dressed in full-on rock. The new bavarian hardness at it’s best!

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS SIGN WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH NAPALM RECORDS!

Ahoy sailors! Known for their excellent taste and passion for pirates in metal, Napalm Records welcomes a new band to their diverse and exciting artist roster and label family: YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS have signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records! The band’s 3rd studio album titled ‘First Night Back In Port is set to be released on June 30th 2017.

YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS takes you 300 years back in time for an imaginary journey through the harsh life at sea during the early 18th century. With songs inspired by traditional Irish and Scandinavian folk music, acting and elaborate historical clothing the privateers tell a story about the rough sailor’s life, lived on the other side of the law – and the fight against oppression and nationalism.

Together, the nearly 30 crew members take turns to go on tour and plunder, and with around a dozen sailors on stage no two shows are ever the same. The mix of rude folk and punk music invites you to dance and sing along, while the gripping ballads will make the toughest pirate heart soft.

Says the band about their recent signing with Napalm Records:
“Spring has finally come to the Gulf of Botnia, and with the rotting ice we are now able to set sail with some extraordinary good news onboard. We are immensely proud to announce that our chaotic band of Pirates will be joining forces with Napalm Records, to release our next album First Night Back in Port. Lock up the taverns and hide away the Rum, June 30th in the year of our lord 1717 (2017), this Pandora’s box of ear worms goes worldwide!

Putting our pen and ink to the chart of Napalm Records means procuring the fire power to bring the forces of Europe to a total blockade. And by trading our royalties for rum and cherry beer, we estimate that we will save a fortune and a half in the years to come.”

Give these pirates a warm welcome, sailors! With YE BANISHED PRIVATEERS you are in for an adventure that will rock you like a schooner in storm and feed your lust for new horizons under the black flag!

Ghost Leader Sued by Four Former Members

According to Corren.se (via Blabbermouth, GHOST frontman Papa Emeritus (Tobias Forge) is reportedly being sued by  his four former members of the band who are accusing him of cheating them out of their rightful share of the profits  from the group’s album (2011 – 2016) releases and world tours.

The former members of GHOST  are asking the court to order Forge to disclose the company’s revenues and expenses for the financial years 2011 to 2016 as well as to reveal the company’s assets as of December 31, 2016. If Forge fails to act as ordered, they are asking the court to force Forge to pay a penalty of SEK 200,000 , or an amount that the court considers reasonable.

The lawsuit, which was filed in the district court of Linköping, Sweden, where GHOST was originally based, claims that Forge solely controlled the band’s business affairs without input from anyone else in the group. The four musicians furthermore state that a partnership agreement existed between them and Forge which put Tobias in charge of carrying out the company’s management duties.

The former GHOST members are asking the court to order Forge to disclose the company’s revenues and expenses for the financial years 2011 to 2016 as well as to reveal the company’s assets as of December 31, 2016. If he fails to act as ordered, they are asking the court to force Forge to pay a penalty of SEK 200,000 (approximately $22,000), or an amount that the court considers reasonable.

According to the lawsuit, GHOST was formed in 2010 and Forge, through his company, has been collecting all revenues from the sale of the band’s merchandise and music recordings. The GHOST leader did not at any time provide the other musicians with the company’s financial statements, the lawsuit claims, and has instead insisted that the company was not yet profitable.

In 2012, GHOST‘s economic situation became particularly dire when the bandmembers did not receive any compensation. Under pressure, Forge paid sporadic amounts out to the other musicians while continuing to claim that the company’s bank accounts were empty.

During 2016, the GHOST bandmembers received two separate contract proposals from Forge that they rejected on the grounds that they saw them as “slave agreements,” the lawsuit says. Meanwhile, relations between Forge and the other musicians became increasingly chilly, with guitarist Martin Persner — who is not one of the four people behind the lawsuit — quitting the band in July 2016.

On December 20, Forge, through his lawyer, contested the four musicians’ claim that GHOST was a partnership.

Asked by Corren.se for his reaction to the lawsuit, Forge said: “I can’t comment on it because it is a legal process. The lawsuit will be answered fairly soon by my legal counsel.”

Krysthla reveal minor mystery video and new UK tour dates

Krysthla have revealed ‘The Minor Mystery Of Death’, the third single and official music video from their new album ‘Peace In Our Time’ which is released this Friday, 7th April.

Guitarist Neil Hudson says of the track: “The Minor Mystery Of Death is about embracing the end. Death is an absolute certainty and we’re living lives that seem like they’re going to last forever until it’s too late and your mortality is thrust into your hands. “We’re very precious towards our lives but don’t actually live them.”
Peace In Our Time was influenced by Krysthla’s 2016 European tour with Decapitated – with Hudson revealing that one experience on the road will live with him forever:
“On the Greek border, I saw a refugee girl stood on the other side of the motorway while we were parked up getting fuel. She saw us looking over at the thousands of grubby tents cooking the inhabitants in the scorching heat and fixed her eyes on me for a few seconds. “I gave her a nod. She jumped over the barrier and ran over the motorway to the garage, dodging traffic on her way. She walked over, looked me straight in the eye, said something in Syrian and gave me a highfive and hugged my leg. “I left a bit of me behind that day. We sobbed in the van as we left. It was utterly heart breaking to hear the hum of bodies murmuring in the boiling sun.” Hudson adds: “The album is influenced heavily, and almost solely by the fact I am a father. With so much unrest and violence in the world, it’s easy to turn your back and pretend none of it has an impact on your life. “Or somehow because it’s a long way from home it’s someone else’s problem. War does not sleep. War does not stop. It doesn’t choose who dies and who lives. But the people who light the fire and fan the flames do.”
The new album ‘Peace In Our Time’ is released 7th April via PHD.

THIS GUN FOR HIRE Debut Album ‘Something A Little More Sinister’

Formed in 2015, Vancouver’s THIS GUN FOR HIRE is a genuine band of brothers that have built a long-lasting friendship through the music they play. Unleashing a power punch of their rock tinged melodic metalcore / post hardcore; the band has unleashed their debut album ‘Something A Little More Sinister’ out now as of March 31st. The album was recorded with engineer and producer Roger Swan (K-OS, Battle Axe) to present their first clutch of original songs to showcase to the world. The twelve track release displays a keen awareness of pace and dynamics. Moving deftly from the seething chaos of the eponymous opener to the grandiose and melodic epic of ‘To The Fallen And The Faithful’ and back again for the staccato grunt of ‘Barn Burner’ to finish the record. Taking cues from Alexisonfire, Every Time I Die, Underoath, Beartooth, The Holly Springs Disaster, the band describes their sound as “fast, heavy, sincere, atmospheric, and meaningful”.

“It’s just music we all feel the need to write. Metal with no boundaries is what got us together. There is way too much fluff going on now in this genre. It’s lost its integrity. We hope people can walk away with one of our songs stuck in their head. Or looking for more!” says guitarist Tyler Burns.

‘Something A Little More Sinister’ is available through iTunes, Spotify, Amazon.
