HAVOK: UNLEASH NEW TRACK “INGSOC”

Thrash Metal outfit HAVOK have unleashed another new track off their upcoming record, “Conformicide”, which will be released on march 10th, 2017 via Century Media Records. The song, titled “Ingsoc”, is the longest running on the new album and lyrically takes heavy influence from the classic George Orwell novel, 1984.

Speaking about “Ingsoc”, HAVOK lead guitartist Reece Scruggs states: “This is one of my favorite tracks on the record, and a bit left field compared to most HAVOK tracks. Full of slamming riffs and burning lines; it’s still 100% us but a bit progressive. I fully believe this song display the best in each of us and comes together to be a ripper!”

Adding his thoughts on the writing and thematics behind the song, David Sanchez (vocals, guitar) comments: “1984 takes place in a socialist hell wherein there is perpetual war, government-sanctioned propaganda, massive gaps between the rich and poor, and “Big Brother” spies on every citizen. It appears that Orwell was not just a novelist, but a prophet; as “Ingsoc” has become all too real. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”

HAVOK are embarking on their first headlining tour of the year in North America as part of the build up to “Conformicide” next week. Immediately following this run, the band will join on as part of the “World Gone Mad” tour, supporting the legendary likes of Suicidal Tendencies and Crowbar, before heading out to Europe for a headlining run together with Warbringer, Gorod and Exmortus in April. London natives CYPHER16 have risen up the ranks in their native UK throughout the last few years, amassing a devoted following which has afforded them the opportunity to perform at numerous festivals around the world (including India and China), and to catch the eyes and ears of reputable music publications and tastemakers. Extreme metal giants ARCH ENEMY have now launched a live video for “War Eternal”, filmed at Wacken 2016 and taken from their upcoming live DVD/Blu-ray “As The Stages Burn!” which will be released on March 31st, 2017!

 

The full Wacken 2016 show was recorded with 13 cameras, produced and directed by Patric Ullaeus. The audio was mixed by Andy Sneap.

The DVD/Blu-ray also contains Behind The Scenes footage from Wacken, as well as excerpts from the “Tokyo Sacrifice” live DVD, all “War Eternal” music videos and a new, previously unreleased video clip for “Time Is Black” as bonus material! The Deluxe Box Set will come with an Artbook incl. CD, DVD and Blu-ray, pop-up art, lanyard and “As The Stages Burn!” laminate.

TEXTURES To Tour Europe in April 2017!

Dutch polyrhythmic metal maniacs, TEXTURES, released the first part of a diptych, »Phenotype«, last year through Nuclear Blast. The second record of the diptych, »Genotype«, is currently in progress. In April, the band will embark on another touring trek in support of their latest album. Support on select dates will come from progressive groove metallers EXTREMITIES, UK-based metallers EXIST IMMORTAL and melodic hardcore band ATHENA’S WORD. All dates can be found below!

Debut ‘Funky Queen‘ coming March 3rd 2017 on Napalm Records!

If Janis Joplin, Jack White, Anouk, Nirvana and Queens Of The Stone Age ever had the chance to breed, this band would have been their favourite creation: Belgium’s answer to pretty much every Rock band out there, BLACK MIRRORS, manage to gather an endless amount of influences which have been ruling the Rock N’ Roll universe for decades. This one’s a keeper, and with good cause BLACK MIRRORS  just recently signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records!

Now the band, fronted by charismatic vocalist Marcella Di Troia, unveiled a first lyric video from their upcoming debut EP ‘Funky Queen‘, which is set to be released on March 3rd 2017!

„We are proud and happy to introduce you to our new EP! We worked on it with a lot of passion and love and we can’t wait to share it with the world and to hear people’s reactions. Making and releasing this EP fills us with great joy and hopefully more people will love our songs as much as we do! Initially the song “Funky Queen” – from a musical point of view – was far more complicated than how it is today. There were many different parts that have been revised to eventually come to the current version. We composed the final version on a folk guitar which helped us getting more into the essence and feeling of the song. Funky Queen is about any kind of addiction as in drugs, alcohol or even love. The Queen confronts everyone with one’s own demons.“
