Omnium Gatherum announces new EP

Omnium Gatherum, one of the hardest export cannons in melodic death metal, who released their Origin album last November, will release their four-track Slasher EP on June 2nd. The publisher is the German Century Media.

The band opens up the game by releasing the upcoming EP’s title single Slasher with a music video.  Check out the video on Century Media’s YouTube channel or below.

“Slasher is a fast and powerful song, the message of which is like a request from you to yourself. Your inner darkness can be either an enemy or an ally. You are both hunter and prey. The song is also the title track of our upcoming EP. The Slasher-EP offers a couple of new OG songs and a furious cover image!”, says singer Jukka Pelkonen.

Markus Vanhala, who is responsible for the clean vocals and the plot of the second guitar, sends his greetings to the fans:

“Greetings from OG HQ! We offer you a snack between our studio albums. It’s called Slasher and it’s an EP that rocks hard! Slasher-EP is double-sided like a coin. The A-side introduces our new guitar hero, Nick Cordle from the other side of the Atlantic, who joined us right after the release of the Origin album. The B-side, on the other hand, consists of two older songs that we recorded during the Origin sessions. They were supposed to be digital singles only, but now they are also available on vinyl and CD!”

The Slasher EP, mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren, is modern melodic death metal of the hardest caliber. The four-song EP is the first release to feature the band’s new guitarist.

Slasher EP track listing:
1. Slashers
2. Maniac (Cover Version)
3. Sacred
4. Lovelorn

Today, Omnium Gatherum joins Eluveiti’s tour on their new guitarist’s home ground in North America. The tour also includes Seven Spires. The month-long tour starting in New York includes 26 shows. The last concert will be on April Fool’s Day in Richmond, Virginia. The European tour is in the fall, but before that it’s the turn of the summer festival gigs.
