THE OFFSPRING and their brand new album ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’ have crashed into the UK official album charts top 5, with an all time personal best position for the band at number 3! Beating out their previous efforts, including ‘Smash’ (number 21 in 1994), ‘Americana’ (number 10 in 1998) and ‘Conspiracy Of One’ (number 12 in 2000), this new benchmark chart placing will no doubt fuel the excitement levels for the bands upcoming UK arena tour in November 2021.
Speaking about charting at number 3 the band said “Wow! We are beyond stoked to have come in at #3 on the UK charts. A big thank you to all our UK fans who made it happen. See you all in November. Can’t wait.”
The new music was written and recorded over the course of the last several years at various locations including the band’s Huntington Beach, California studio, and this record is the band’s third time working in collaboration with legendary rock producer Bob Rock. Stepping back into the limelight, the band have been very busy these last few months, despite the pandemic. They have graced the cover of Kerrang! Magazine, had a huge in depth chat with writer Stevie Chick for The Guardian (read that piece – HERE), seen lead single ‘Let TheBad Times Roll’ get support from Radio 1 Rock Show, Radio 2 Rock Show (tune in on Saturday 24th April for the bands ‘Rock God’ feature – HERE), as well as grace Kerrang! Radio and TV A-lists. They have also done a live Q and A for Rough Trade, released their own hot sauce and upcoming intimate stripped back album shows at Banquet Records in Kingston and Crash Records in Leeds, and tongue in cheek How To… video series including tips on catching a wave & bird watching with Noodles.
