VAL TVOAR Posts New Video ” Dark Side of Mine”

Estonian metalhead stoner Val Tvoar released a killer video for his new single “Dark Side of Mine”.

The cinematography is of a deliciously-gritty texture and integrates perfectly with the core story, which is thematically inspired by the Mary Shelley novel “Frankenstein as the Modern Prometheus”.

Val Tvoar’s fans will be rather delighted to discover that this new video is actually the prequel to the video for his single “I am You”. Both tracks are selections from the album “In Light You Believe … But In Darkness You Dwell”, which was released in November 2016. All characters in the video are portrayed by the brilliantly-talented members of Val Tvoar’s live band. And they filmed the video themselves through the hand-held magic of the iPhone.

SAMAEL Sign Worldwide Deal With Napalm Records!

Black metal pioneers SAMAEL from Switzerland have signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records! The band is working on a new album, which will be released later in 2017.

Founded in 1987 as an old school black metal act that was influenced by the likes of Bathory, fellow countrymen Celtic Frost, and Venom, the brothers Vorph and Xy later developed the band’s style further towards a more industrial dark metal sound that found its high peak in those legendary album such as “Passage” and “Eternal”.

Napalm’s A&R Sebastian Münch states:
“I could not be prouder! Today we would like to announce the worldwide signing of the Swiss cult band SAMAEL! SAMAEL has created some of the most lethal and authentic Black Metal albums with “Blood Ritual” and “Ceremony of Opposites”! FOSCOR hail from Catalonia, which is still yet largely unwilling part of modern Spain. With Barcelona as its capital this region has a long artistic tradition with the fin de siècle style of Modernisme a parallel development to Art Nouveau and Jugendstil among others forming one of its major achievements. Catalonia has also left its mark in the extreme music scene of Spain. FOSCOR have already finished recording their forthcoming fifth full-length, which will be released in the course of 2017. Joye Jordison’s Vimic announce UK Tour!

The new project “Vimic” put together by Joey Jordison (formerly known from Slipknot) are set to play their first UK shows this March. The release of their debut album, ‘Open Your Omen’ will follow soon after the tour.

Joey comments: “Hello to all our fans in the UK! It’s about time, isn’t it? It’s been a long road getting here, but it’s finally arrived and we’re on our way soon. Australian progressive metal visionaries NE OBLIVISCARIS have announced the re-release of their long sold out EPs ‘Sarabande to Nihil’ and ‘Hiraeth’ for subscribers to their Patreon campaign.

The out of print EPs feature re-recorded tracks from the band’s early years and the ‘Portal of I’ era which was initially sold out in 2014 and have been out of print ever since. There are no plans to release these in any other format, so participating in this pledge drive is the only chance to hear these very special recordings.

As part of their campaign, NE OBLIVISCARIS are aiming to become the first band to crowdfund a full-time wage and have announced a membership drive that will run until the end of February with the aim to hit their target.
