Jarkko Lunnas from Damnation Plan comments the single release:

“For our first album as bonus tracks we had created our versions of the movie themes ‘The Terminator’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZLWEuYO1as) and ‘The Running Man’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xniQmO7V3yU), to pay tribute to our childhood inspirations and heroics (and oh yes, we still get kicks out of them!).

So for this new album we wanted to do some cover track as well. We were throwing around some ideas to do some pop songs etc. until the idea to do Dio’s ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’ came up. So, instead of a hologram we came up with our version of one of the late legend’s finest tracks to honor his legacy. So here it is – ‘Don’t Talk To Strangers’, in style of Damnation Plan!”

“Reality Illusion” album release date is March 10th 2017.

The band is currently running a Pledge Music pre-order campaign for the new album. In addition to the new album, the campaign provides exclusive pro-shot 10+ episodes video documentary about the making of the new album.

Damnation Plan released a new single from it’s upcoming full length

Finnish progressive melodic death metallers Damnation Plan have released a new title track single from their upcoming album “Reality Illusion”.

Drummer/songwriter/lyricist Jarkko Lunnas comments:

“Creating this album took us 3+ years of hard work, driving me and some of us almost insane during the process of recording the album almost entirely ourselves. It was a massive task but I believe it served the end result well!

The album deals with separating the truth from the beliefs and seeing it (or not seeing it) through the different bubbles that we’ve learned to live in our stable and modern societies. We are estranged from the reality until we are forced to face it.

The album delivers the message covering a whole spectrum of feelings from an atmospheric and emotional perspective, all the way to the maximal intensity.”

The band is also running a Pledge Music pre-order campaign for the upcoming full length album, out March 10 2017.

By pre-ordering the album from the campaign you’ll get 10+ in-depth video documentary episodes about the making of the album. The campaign can be found here: http://pledgemusic.com/damnationplan

The album was mixed by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath, etc) at Unisound Studios.

Finnish messengers of death, Hautajaisyö released a new single!

Finnish messengers of death, Hautajaisyö released a new single!

From the depths of Finnish melancholy and messenger of death Hautajaisyö  (Funeral Night) released a new single on 19.01.2017 and its called “Unohdetut” (the forgotten). This song is the most melodic song they have ever played and the two guitarists play melodic and brutal riffs like never before. With the normal low growling vocals comes more “heavy metal” style clean vocals done by Tomas Ahlroos from Omniversum band. Same man were featuring in the first Hautajaisyö album. Band’s melancholy thrash & melodic death metal has a unique taste in them. Finnish sung vocals are not traditional death metal lyrics. Songs are hard and brutal, but still melodic in many ways. Second song in the single is a cover song from a Finnish hard rock band “Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus”  and the long song title mean “62”.
