Following successful collaborations last year, 2022 started with Legacy of the Beast teaming up with Disturbed and then Powerwolf and now ARCH ENEMY enters the fold.
Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast wanted a character that would fit perfectly into a story with Doomsday Eddie, a post-apocalyptic warrior whose portents of global annihilation went unheard (based on Iron Maiden’s classic track “2 Minutes to Midnight” from their legendary 1984 album Powerslave). The result of this collaboration is a week-long event called ‘Atomic Sunset’. The Queen Beast character is influenced by ARCH ENEMY‘s upcoming single and video for “Sunset Over The Empire“, which will both be released soon, on May 20th.
On July 29th, extreme metal masters ARCH ENEMY will release their 11th studio album, ‘Deceivers‘, via Century Media Records. This spring, ARCH ENEMY and Polish black metal titans Behemoth announce “The North American Siege 2022” tour! Set to kick off in April, the trek also features UK grind-core pioneers Napalm Death and heavy gothic rockers Unto Others as special guests. Behemoth will return to the states to co-headline ARCH ENEMY‘s Michael Amott (guitar) comments: “I honestly couldn’t be more excited about having Arch Enemy join forces with Behemoth, Napalm Death and Unto Others for a run of dates through North America in 2022! A killer package of quality mayhem right there – can’t fckn wait!“
This past October, metal legends ARCH ENEMY returned with their first new song in four years: ‘Deceiver, Deceiver‘. Today (Dec 9th), the band has launched another standalone single, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen: ‘House Of Mirrors‘, which debuted yesterday on SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal with Jose Mangin! Today (October 21st), metal legends Arch Enemy will launch a stunning video for a new standalone single, mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen: “Deceiver, Deceiver” – the band’s first original release since 2017’s acclaimed Will To Power!
