Azaghal’s Old Albums Reportedly Being Re-issued Under Moribund Records Without Consent Of Band

Immortal Frost Productions today (25th September) has revealed that Moribund Records have reportedly been releasing Azaghal’s re-issue albums without the band’s permission and, therefore, haven’t received their royalties.

Dear Azaghal Fans!

It came to our attention since several years now that Moribund Records from the USA is rereleasing old albums by Azaghal (Official) under their catalogue. This is without the band’s knowledge and without their mutual consent.

Azaghal signed in 2008, 2009 and 2012 three of their albums (Omega, Teraphim & Nemesis) to Moribund Records. However, the band hasn’t received their royalties for these albums and after multiple times of reaching out to the label, their efforts simply got ignored.

It was therefore that the band decided not to release any more of the future records under Moribund Records and moved to KVLT and eventually to Immortal Frost Productions back in 2015.

Ever since then Moribund has been rereleasing the three mentioned albums unconditionally and has been rereleasing even older albums (Mustamaa, Helvetin yhdeksän piiriä, Of Beasts and Vultures, Kyy, Perkeleen luoma, etc.. to name a few) by Azaghal. This once again without the band’s approval to do so and on top Moribund Records has been giving licenses to other labels to rerelease these albums on CD, as Boxsets or even on Vinyl editions.

Also has Moribund Records been releasing all of these mentioned albums on Digital format on all digital streaming services without the consent of Azaghal or paying them any royalties for the earnings on these digital streams.

On behalf of the band, I’ve tried to reach out to Odin and Moribund Records several times during these past years and have received until this day zero response from him!

It is therefore that after all these years and endless effort of getting a response from Moribund Records that we’ve decided to go public with this.

Note that we don’t take this decision lightly, and I do so only as we support our signed bands through thick and thin and we don’t tolerate any kind of theft, especially not when it has escalated this far.

The band has not received their fair share of royalties for either of these mentioned albums, represses, license presses or digital streams.

Therefore we ask you their loyal fans to stop purchasing the Azaghal albums released by Moribund Records, Dissonance Productions, Tribulación Productions, Paranoid records, Back On Black Records until the band has been compensated for all these physical copies released between 2008 until today and the digital streams.
