The UK’s heavy metal machine SYLOSIS unveils the title track of their brand-new album, ‘A Sign Of Things To Come’. The new song speaks from Josh Middleton’s position as a new father and his fears of the world that his children will one day inherit.
Josh comments “‘A Sign Of Things To Come’ is a declaration of dismay towards the modern world. It’s about the anxiety of what the future holds and the feeling of division in a society where everyone is pitted against each other. This was the last song to be written for the album. It quickly became apparent that this was going to be one of the biggest, most anthemic songs on the record.”
SCAR SYMMETRY have revealed the video for ‘Xenotaph’, taken from their latest album, The Singularity (Phase II – Xenotaph). For ‘Xenotaph’, SCAR SYMMETRY enlisted the help of The Ultraterrestrial Choir – a 233 voice strong ensemble consisting of fans, friends and family from all over the world; with each choir member multitracked the resulting recording consists of literally thousands of vocal tracks!
With only a month left until the release of CYHRA‘s new album The Vertigo Trigger, the Swedes today deliver the album’s third single ‘IF I‘. The melodic metallers, based around singer Jake E (ex-Amaranthe) and guitarists Jesper Strömblad (The Halo Effect/ex-In Flames) and Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining), offer a track brimming with tuneful heaviness, ear-worm riffs, and a striking chorus. The track especially salutes the Gothenburg metal scene, meaning that ‘IF I‘ provides all the elements to make a perfect CYHRA song. The band comments “After the incredible shows we got to share with our fans in the UK and North America at the end of last year, it was time for us to retreat and write new music — and yes, we’ll soon share more on how that is going. But in the meantime, we just can’t sit still! So we decided to fulfil a wish we had for some time and invited the incredible Iamthemorning to share the stage with us for a series of very special autumn evenings. And it just so happens that our very own Anna Murphy has recently released a collaboration with Iamthemorning’s Marjana Semkina in the form of the dark folk/chamber prog project Maer, who will be making an exclusive appearance as well.
