wars have revealed an official video for ‘Salt Flat Sailing’ the fourth single from their recently released debut album, ‘We Are Islands, After All’.
In support of this, wars are due to hit the road with Create To Inspire this May, taking in 9 UK towns/cities, finishing up at The Dome, London, in a one-off support slot to He Is Legend on May 12th.
Says Rob Vicars (wars vocalist); “Releasing our debut album, ‘We Are Islands, After All’ has been incredible for all of us in wars, and although we’re already writing new material, there’s lots we still have left to explore that we touched upon on that record; ‘Salt Flat Sailing’ is a song about utilising loneliness and solitude to tackle your darkest moments – taking that feeling of disquiet and disconnect so many of us are haunted by and being present in it.
We shot the video a while back now, but as we are about to head out on tour with Create To Inspire, we thought now was the right time to share it. We hope you love it.”
wars will also appear at this year’s Teddy Rocks Festival, Dorset, and 2000 Trees in Cheltenham.

29.04.17 Teddy Rocks Festival, Dorset
02.05.17 Leeds, The Pack Horse w/ Create To Inspire

CODE SHARE NEW TRACK FROM LOST SIGNAL EP!
UK based progressive black metal/rock outfit CODE have released another new track from their imminent EP “Lost Signal”, due out on January 27th via Agonia Records. Get a taste of what’s coming with this stream of the song “Affliction”:
The upcoming EP is a meeting of ages and a blurring of lines. In the Summer of 2015, CODE spent some time in a studio in England to experiment with tracks from their back catalogue of four albums. The idea was to re-visit past works from a different angle and “Lost Signal” is the result.
The EP features three songs from their most recent album “Mut” (2015), performed with a strong metallic approach. It also features three further songs, one from each of the first three albums performed in a more subtle and introspective style similar to that seen on the “Mut” album. The result is a release that alternatively emphasises the subtlety and heaviness of the band’s sound and provides a chance to hear these songs in a completely new way.
The songs featured on the EP are:
– “On Blinding Larks”, “Cocoon” and “Affliction” from the “Mut” album.
– “The Rattle of Black Teeth” from the “Resplendent Grotesque” album.
–“The Lazarus Cord” from the “Augur Nox” album.
– “Brass Dogs” from the “Nouveau Gloaming” album.
Produced and mixed by the band themselves, this is the sound of CODE exploring the dichotomy within their music and producing a release of rich power, melody and dynamics.
